This is a recipe my mom used to make when I was a kid.  When I was a senior in college my mom put together a recipe book of all of my favorite recipes (many of which will have their day here), and this was in it. Thanks mom!Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cups oatmeal
- 1 1/2 cups raisins
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Beat the eggs in a large bowl.
- Add the milk, vanilla, and shortening, and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Mix dry with wet.
- Add oatmeal and raisins. Mix well.
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
